Thanks for your comment and thanks for reading! I think your observation often does ring true with regard to the ability of a founder to to execute as a manager — and that is usually more related to removing a founder as an officer. Removing a founder as a director — in my experience — often stems from the founder’s inability to detach from the company emotionally and recognize the need to make difficult course corrections.
